"My teacher told me I should never tell a lie,
Because a lie will bring you trouble sure as pie.
It's and awful thing to do,
And it's as true as true,
You'll get caught and then you'll start to cry.
"You'll have a horrid painful pounding in your head,
And you'll fell your face get hot and turn bright red.
Then your heart will start to thump;
In your throat you'll get a lump
And you'll feel as bad you'll wish you could lie right down and die.
You're much better off if you never tell a lie,
Not even sometimes."
And worse, Heavenly Father knows, you lose your trust and ruin your character.
This is and example of trying to cover things up.
Example: King David decided not to lead the war. While he was up on the roof, he saw a woman washing herself. He wanted her, so he arranged to kill her husband, Uriah, to get killed. Then the prophet, Nathan, said that he did something wrong and that he can't go into the Celestial Kingdom. He felt bad.

Loved poem but I loved the ideas more. Huckleberry Finn said, "You can't pray a lie." God always knows the intent of our heart and in the end he is the only who really matters. I enjoyed reading your thoughts.
