The Capital Trip Part 2

Ok, so after we saw the model of the base isolators, we went to this one spot that has models of the original Thomas Edison light bulbs. And it also has a kind of a see through glass ceiling/floor. you can kind of see through it. On the 2nd floor you can stand on it.

Next, we went to the second floor. On the way there we saw a replica of the Liberty Bell. every capital building has one in there capital building. We went to the second floor and saw all these paintings about Utah History and statues. Then we went to the 3rd floor and saw this: The Gold room, (pictured). It has stuff from France and England. What a sight!

Capital Trip part 1

Today I went to the Utah Capital building. It was great! While wewere going there, we saw a lady and waved to her. And when we got to the Capital the woman happened to be our tour guide! Isn't that a little freaky?

So first we saw a model of a base isolator. A base isolator is a round metal thing. It has a layer of rubber, then steel, then rubber, then steel. In the center is led that will liquify during an earthquake. (the base isolators were put in to make the Capital "earthquake-proof".)

I am not getting any vacation with this mock trial! It is a court thing for teens. It is taking up almost every day, (until February 27th). I am on the defense side. I am a witness bomb expert. The case is State of Utah vs. Casey Campbell. Casey is accused for putting a bomb in a trash can. I am the bomb expert, Dr. Avery Atkinson. I need to point our all the flaws in the bomb. (Note that thos is fake).

Now moving on to a new subject, I am going to be working a t a SCOUT CAMP!!! Yahoo!!!!! THIS IS GOING TO BE SO FUN!!!!!

A Great Day!

On Friday, I had one of the best days of my life! First, I went to a place in Layton called Speedstreet. For my first time at a go-cart wheel, I was pretty good. I got in 8th place the first race, then I got in 5th place. I improoved. Then I had one of the best foods in the world, and I could have all I want.....PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA!

After I ate, I played a couple of arcade games. I mostly played pinball. Then we left.

Then once I got home, I had to get ready to go on a campout. I was going Snow Caving! And I wasn't tired. We went to Snow Basin with our troop. One of our leaders helped dig out my snowcave. I was sharing it with another member. After that, we ate and went to bed because it was really late. That was Friday

Planetarium Trip

Today I went to the planetarium at Weber State University. It was really cool! I learned about Galaxies, planets, the life of a star, and Earth crash into me, (it looked like it)!

New Stuff

I GOT NEW BOOKS!!!!!!!!

Books are one of the best things in the world. I got ERAGON, the first book in the Inheritance Cycle, and Bionicle Graphic Novel #4, "Trial by Fire". It is about the Toa Hordika comics. If you were part of the Lego magazine club in 2005, you would have gotten them, but I would like them in book form.
